Mind fails to stay still
Heart knows its way around
But in this jungle of the material world
I feel lost, a rose wilting on my pillow of tears
In dreams, I meet my saviour
But how can I be saved from what I can’t name?
I try to stay present, but distractions abound
They say to wander is to wonder, but conflict drags me inside its abyss
I seek love outside myself, but it fails
I seek comfort within, but it’s always out of reach
The mountain peak is where I find solace
Eons spent here, cleansing my soul with the cold
Is this where it all resides, or is it everywhere?
Questions break the pattern, slashing inside of my skin
My pain spills out onto others, but they absorb it all
They say the canvas to hold it is as large as it can be
So I imagine myself as large as I can be
Limitless ever expanding consciousness bliss
Rays of light exploding from my cloud of rain
As my shadow finds solace in the noon of my attention
to everything and everywhere all at once
The juxtaposition of external and internal search, as well as the exploration of pain and self-expansion, creates a powerful emotional journey. Beautiful poem!

“Is this where it all resides, or is it everywhere?“ It is everywhere! It is not just your shadow that finds solace – it is in you!
